I'm thrilled to share my Asian-inspired baked goods with you.
They reflect a mixture of my personality, travel experiences, and of course love!
I have a great passion for flavors and cuisines that I picked up from my mom. She always cooked for our family and food was a big part of my life from an early age. I will admit that I was a particular eater and found it difficult to enjoy most sweets. Weird for a kid, right? Especially one that grew up to bake pastries and desserts.
My love for pastries really started during my travels through South Korea and Japan. The baked goods I tasted there shared airier textures, subtler flavors and had a delicate sweetness compared to the American-style of decadence and richness. This opened a new world to me and I was dedicated to bringing the style and balance of taste back home so others could also experience it.
Fast forward to today - I carry on the tradition of sharing my food and meals with my two sons, family, and friends. My specialty revolves around a balance of lighter sweetness, and emphasis on taste and aroma of ingredients.
I invite you to try out my coffee crunch cake. It's a light moist layer cake topped with coffee honeycomb crunch. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy making it.
