Hiya! No I don’t – follow the recipe for the best results, and I always advise taking it out 10 – 15 mins before serving to let it soften slightly! Hope this helps! x

Hi Jane, fab looking recipe. Do you put vodka in the apple and the cream mixture. I’ve been making strawberry cheesecake ice cream this summer, similar recipe but adding cream cheese into the cream mix and although it tastes amazing I’ve nearly broken my scoops trying to serve it n if I take it out for a little time before serving it gets too soft.

Hi Jane, I’ve just made your biscoff ice cream and omg it’s absolutely delicious…I’m wanting to make this one but at the moment I have a load of rhubarb to use up so can I swap it for the apple and if so how would I go about it please…thanks

Hi Jane, This is two of my most favourite dessert, apple crumble & ice-cream. Yummy . But sadly two of the ingredients I cannot have due to being lactose intolerant, the double cream & custard ( I have discovered diary free custard). Please Jane could you inform of an alternative without losing the authentic taste?

Loved this recipe.. ice cream was divine! I had to use whipping cream as I can’t find double cream in Malaysia ! Mine also wasn’t as thick as yours! Perhaps I need to whisk longer? Any tips regarding using whipping cream and making the ice cream thicker would be welcome!

You dont mention how and what to cover the ice cream with, loose fitting grease proof paper then foil?
